স্বার্থের টানে ভালো থাকে কেউ
স্বার্থেই ভালো রাখে;
কি অদ্ভুত মানুষ সবাই,
স্বার্থের ছবি আঁকে।
আমার স্বার্থ নিয়ে আমাকে;
তোমার টা এগিয়ে চলা;
সেই স্বার্থে, স্বার্থ নিয়ে!
স্বার্থের কথা বলা।
নিজ স্বার্থ থাকা তো ভালো,
দোষের কিছু নয়।
কারো স্বার্থে সুখ ফেরানো
এই তো জীবন জয়।
নিজের স্বার্থ রঙিন রঙের,
অন্যের টা ধূসর ছাই।
ধূসর হাসির তাড়নায়,
সবাই স্বার্থই খুঁজে যায়।
সরল স্বার্থের মানুষ তবু,
বাঁকা স্বার্থের ধাঁচ
মৃত্যুপুরীর এই শহরে,
আজ স্বার্থই করে রাজ।

This is the victory of life.
Self-interested colorful,
The other is gray ash.
Persuaded by the gray smile,
Everyone finds interest.
People of simple interests still
The pattern of crooked interests
In this town of death,
Selfish is the king.
